VESAK CELEBRATION BY SETIA ALAM BUDDHIST ASSOCIATION.

TODAY marks a special day for Buddhists in the country as they celebrate and pay respect to the Lord Buddha on his birthday and his attainment of enlightenment.Vesak Day was celebrated for the first time in Setia Alam in a small scale basis and the turnout was encouraging and residents were very supportive. Devotees came early with their families where they had a chance to perform the bathing of Buddha ritual to purify one’s body and mind and received blessings from the monks.Other activities included offering of lights and blood-donation campaign. Overall, we are quite happy and blessed with a successful event....

 "Law of the Garbage Truck"

One day I hopped in a taxi and we took off for the airport.We were driving in the right lane when suddenly a black car jumped out of a parking space right in front of us.My taxi driver slammed on his brakes, skidded, and missed the other car by just inches! The driver of the other car whipped his head around and started yelling at us. My taxi driver just smiled and waved at the guy. And I mean, he was really friendly.

So I asked, 'Why did you just do that? This guy almost ruined your car and sent us to the hospital!'
This is when my taxi driver taught me what I now call, 'The Law of the Garbage Truck.' He explained that many people are like garbage trucks. They run around full of garbage, full of frustration, full of anger, and full of disappointment. As their garbage piles up, they need a place to dump it and sometimes they'll dump it on you. Don't take it personally. Just smile, wave, wish them well, and move on. Don't take their garbage and spread it to other people at work, at home, or on the streets.

The bottom line is that successful people do not let garbage trucks take over their day.
Life's too short to wake up in the morning with regrets, so ...
Love the people who treat you right.
Pray for the ones who don't.
Life is ten percent what you make it and ninety percent how you take it!

FREE H1N1 VACCINE.

25.05.2010: The feed back to the A(H1N1) vaccine among Malaysians is very low. The vaccination is free at government hospitals and clinics nationwide, but many have yet to get vaccinated. especially among those in the high risk category, since A(H1N1) was still an epidemic.So far, only 123,000 Malaysians had been given the vaccine.

The public should not worried as the vaccine has no serious effects, except a slight pain in the arm, mild fever and dizziness among some people.The public should take advantage of free vaccination being offered at government health facilities.

7.30am- Gotong Royong bermula dengan pembersihan

di keliling Surau Al-Ikhlas, Subang Perantau. Cuaca mendung nak hujan dan penduduk disitu gotong royong bersungguh-sungguh... sebelum hujan.

Gotong-royong berakhir pukul 11 pagi dan kemudian disusuli hujan..

Our MBSA Councillor Adnan Jambori is been warded

into Medical Centre Intensive Care Unit after been tested positive with H1NI.According to specialist doctor, because of the immediate treatment and there's nothing to be alarmed as he shall recovered and discharge in a day or two...

The doctor recommended me to go for H1NI vaccine after this visit

which I quickly did at the Seksyen 7 Government Clinic.
