TO DATUK BANDAR / YB RONNIE LIEW.
-CASE CLOSE-
8..NOV.2009-Tue. 6pm. The JKKK Kg.Melayu Chairman Uztaz Zainal hired a excavator and the bill will passed on to MBSA.
8.NOV.2009-Tue. I should be having a good sleep by now but when it started to rain...heavily. My conscience told me someone is going to call me and indeed the sms comes in.Looking at the msg, it serious and makes me more alert and awake. At 2.15am ,I call MBSA Disaster Task Force ( BENCANA ) and the respond sound not convincing so I make a trip to MBSA before going to the affected area. To my dismay, this is what I found out!!
MBSA IS NOT READY AND PREPARED FOR ANY EVENTUALITIES!!!
6.NOV.2009- Sun. I was informed by Saiful, the excavator is on the way......but never turn up!!
5.NOV.2009-Sat. Call Cik.Afizah, Kejuruteraan Dept in charge of Zon 17. Never seem to answer call. No wonder the residents are feddup with MBSA service. BAD and IRRESPONSIVE!!!
4.NOV.2009-Fri. I was told by one of the resident that every time it rain, the road will be flooded. Many a time, resident had complaint to MBSA, blaming them for no action taken, not providing a long-term solution and word like 'what can we do' attitude. Today, I came to know the problem and went to find out who, what and where cause the problem. I got a briefing from MBSA Mr.Saiful, Perkhidmatan Bandar Dept. And I understood. No one can blame MBSA because physically the road is built at low and the real culprit is clogged drain which lead to the river ( Sg.Damansara )......

.....the real problem is the undergrowth thickly covered the stream.
The cause of the flood is the end of the drain is TOTALLY BLOCK!!
The river shows it is not on the high level....
QUESTION.
Why is the MBSA or the resident not doing anything to smoothen the water flows???.Is it RED TAPE??? Unidentified Landowner???? Is it MBSA 'job???
SOLUTION.
Just excavate or remove the undegrowth and the water will lead to the river...we don't need to wait any Tom,Dick and Harry from any departments or other authorities to remove. JUST DO IT!!
I realised that it is not that the villagers cannot do it but there is cost incurred ( hiring excavator ) and they don't know who the owner of the land ( the clogged drain ). I might be violating or intrude into a private land but I feel it is right to do so because the source of the flood comes from here and all the flooding problem can be solved here. Furthermore, the land is not well-kept...rubbishs is thrown here with bushes surrounding. Very much dependent on MBSA....
